Q: What do I use for fuel?

A: Use the same fuel as that for automobiles—unleaded regular gasoline.
All Honda snow blowers have 4-stroke engines. (You cannot use mixed gasoline because the engine is not 2-stroke.)

Q: How long does a full tank last?

A: Small and medium Honda snow blowers are expected to have about 2 hours of continuous operation on a full tank. It is sufficient, as the average snow blowing time for a normal household is about 30 minutes. Large snow blowers, which are presumed for commercial use, are expected to have about 4 hours of continuous operation.
* Continuous operation time varies depending on the quality and conditions of the snow.

Q: What is the shear bolt on the auger and blower?

A: That bolt protects the snow blower from damage by breaking if foreign objects such as rocks get caught and apply abnormal loads while snow blowing. The bolt is included in the spare parts. If you use it, restock for in case of broken it again.

Q: Tell me some tips about attaching the shear bolt.

A: When inspecting or repairing, make sure to stop the engine and remove the engine switch key.
Remove foreign objects from the inside of the tightening section and securely tighten the shear bolt so that there are no gaps. If it is loose, the shear bolt can easily get damaged.

Q: Tell me about the control part names of the snow blower.

A: For the control part names of Honda snow blowers, refer to the Owner's Manual.

Q: Tell me about the functions and equipment of the snow blower.

A: For the functions and equipment of Honda snow blowers, refer to the Owner's Manual.

Q: Tell me the recommended engine oil.

A: Use genuine Honda power products engine oil for low temperature (SAE 5W-30) or SAE 5W-30 oil that is equal to or higher than API service classification SE.

Q: Tell me about preparation when storing for long periods.

A: If you will not use the snow blower for more than 30 days, empty the fuel tank and carburetor.
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. The battery discharges when you do not use it for long periods. Recharge as necessary before using the snow blower.
Replenish oil where necessary.
For details, refer to the Owner's Manual or “Storage” page.

Q: Can the hybrid snow blower run solely on the motor?

A: In case of indoor movement or during emergencies such as zero fuel, you can use the “battery run system”, which runs solely on the motor without starting the engine. For operation procedures, refer to the Owner's Manual.

Q: Does the battery in the hybrid snow blower have to be charged?

A: You do not have to charge the battery during snow blowing season because it is charged by engine rotation during work.
However, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery when storing for long periods. Also, recharge once every 6 months.
