HRM520

Q: Can I wash Miimo with water?

A: No, washing Miimo with water can damage your product. Also, detergents or waxes, are not allowed. Instead, HRM310 and HRM520 should be cleaned with a non-metallic brush, wooden or plastic scraper, or a cloth. See your Owner's Manual for further information.

Q: How to get spare parts or accessories for my Miimo?

A: Contact your dealer to buy Honda original spare parts or accessories.

Q: How to keep my Miimo in best condition?

A: Follow the recommendations in your Owner's Manual, and contact your dealer at least once a year before winter. Your dealer will check that all systems are functioning correctly and that your lawnmower is safe to begin mowing for the forthcoming season.

Q: Should Miimo stay outside during winter time?

A: It is recommended to store Miimo and its docking station in a dry and frost free place during winter season.

Q: How often should I change the blades?

A: Typically, the life time of the blades is 160 hours (2 weeks to 2 months). Because the life time depends on grass condition, it may be necessary to exchange earlier than usual, especially in the spring season.
If your lawn starts to show signs of white fibre, it is time to change blades.
Example: if the lawnmower works for 11.4 hours per day every day, the lifetime of the blades is on average 2 weeks.
If the lawnmower works for 2.6 hours per day every day, the lifetime average of the blades is on 2 months.

Q: Why is it important to have my Miimo maintained by Honda servicing dealer?

A: Honda servicing dealer knows best how to care about your product. Dealers are trained on Honda products and have specific tools to diagnose and keep Miimo in best condition.

Q: Is boundary wire delivered with Miimo?

A: Yes, boundary wire is delivered: 200m reel with HRM310, 300m reel with HRM520. If necessary, you can purchase additional boundary wire and wire pegs at your dealer.

Q: Why burying wire is better than installing with pegs?

A: Basically, laying the wire with pegs is a good solution for small gardens and makes the wire repairs easier. It is also recommended if you expect to redesign you garden in the near future (e.g. adding flower beds, or modifying shape). After some time the grass will grow over the wire and you will not be able to see it in most cases.
On the other hand, when the wire is buried, it is better protected against rodents, bad weather and UV, and there is no risk of tripping on a loose wire. There is also less risk of damaging the wire when using moss dethatcher. A qualified installer from your dealership will use a dedicated machine to bury the wire, which is the most efficient way for big gardens.

Q: What should I do in case of a problem with Miimo?

A: Confirm if some recent works happened in your garden, this may impact Miimo behaviour (e.g. cut cable, new obstacle etc…). If a message is displayed on screen, follow the instructions to solve the problem. If problem persists, consult the Troubleshooting section from your Owner's Manual. If the problem cannot be resolved, you should call your dealer.

Q: I lost my PIN number, what should I do?

A: Contact your dealer.

Q: I have lost the Owner's Manual, where can I find it?

A: Owner's Manual can be found in pdf format on this site Owner's Manual page. It is also available on Honda commercial website for your country. If you need a paper copy, you should contact your dealer.

Q: Can I repair a broken boundary wire by myself?

A: It is possible but, to ensure a durable repair, we recommend you to ask your dealer.

Q: Where can I find the Honda warranty conditions?

A: Your dealer can provide you the warranty conditions related to your product.

Q: I got 3 beeps when I close the display cover, why?

A: Before closing the display cover, you must press Enter button. If not, Miimo will not start and will continue emitting these beeps every 60 seconds.

Q: How do I clear the "Obstruction Detection" message?

A: Open the display cover, holding the display with one hand, move the main Miimo cover backwards and forwards as far as possible to activate the obstruction sensors.

Q: What is happening in case of main power shortage?

A: If Miimo is working: it will stop immediately, will do turn on itself 3 times by 60°, then stops, waiting for the mains power to be back.
If Miimo is in the charging station: it will stay in the station, untill mains power is back.
In both cases if mains power is not restored within 30minutes, Miimo will switch OFF automatically. Manual restart will be required.

Q: Does Edge Cutting starts before Timer 1 or anticipate it?

A: If you set Timer 1 from 08:00 AM on Monday and activate Edge Cutting on Monday too, Miimo will leave the station at 08:00 and will start with Edge Cutting.
